Behrou Marzban

Painter

Behrou Marzban is an Iranian-born, Düsseldorf-based painter working primarily in watercolor and acrylic. Her work explores the relationship between landscape, light, and perception, informed by her personal journey between two cultures.

Raised in Iran and later settling in Germany, Behrou developed a profound sensitivity to atmosphere, silence, and the emotional presence of nature. She is particularly drawn to transitional moments, when changing light subtly transforms a scene and alters its mood. Through a careful balance of reduction, contrast, and atmospheric depth, her paintings create contemplative spaces that invite reflection and quiet observation.

Since 2020, Behrou has exhibited internationally, with exhibitions including Tehran and Istanbul. Her work continues to intertwine themes of memory, migration, and the subtle poetry of nature, contributing a distinctive voice to contemporary watercolor and acrylic painting.
